Graduates of the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) make up an impressive network of expertise spread over several continents. The university decided it wanted to do something more than simply use digital tools to maintain and develop this network, so it asked LargeNetwork to design a new magazine.
Named Alumnist, this magazine provides high-quality content for the EPFL alumni community. Printed in two languages, with an innovative layout and beautiful infographics, it covers news from the alumni network and offers useful tidbits of information.
In this issue, the magazine explored the different trajectories of a few graduates and passed along their advice. Igor Perisic, the vice-president of LinkedIn, physicist Luciana Vaccaro, now rector of the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HES-SO), the mayor of Lausanne Daniel Brélaz, and Christian Posse, a researcher at Google, were among the alumni profiled.
The magazine also spotlighted different economic sectors, new managerial practices and innovative companies like Kudelski.
Alumnist replaces the old A3 magazine, which was also directed by LargeNetwork. This new and more ambitious publication comes out twice a year in French and English.
